Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered in a sponsored search tool is sent to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query under its own policy. We do not keep those search terms in a local court-record database.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Messages sent directly to us may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. They are not disclosed outside the organization unless service needs or a valid legal duty require disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard technical information may be recorded when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- Referring pages or websites, when available
- Browser type and version
- Device and operating-system details
- Internet Protocol address
- Pages viewed and approximate visit duration
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. They and analytics services can show aggregate use, such as popular pages and common exit points. Browser settings can reject or remove cookies, although doing so may alter how parts of the site function.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing errors and security issues
- Operating and improving site performance
- Measuring which reference pages are useful
- Routing sponsored queries to the selected provider
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Maricopa County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of personal case records. It describes official channels operated by the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County, the Clerk of the Superior Court, Justice and Municipal Courts, and the Arizona Judicial Branch. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the sponsored search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention choices, prices, and disclosure practices govern information submitted to them. Review the provider's policy before sending a query because this policy does not control that separate service.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to Arizona courts, Maricopa County offices, city courts, and outside services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy controls the visit. Its terms should be reviewed before personal information is supplied.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select advertisements. Their tracking practices are separate from this site's direct operations.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Service providers responsible for analytics and site performance
- Advertising networks that place or measure ads
- Search partners receiving a query submitted to their widget
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so loss, misuse, or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out entirely.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A verified report that a minor supplied such information will be addressed by deleting it when reasonably possible.
Your Data Rights
Rights concerning visitor data vary by applicable law. Arizona Supreme Court Rule 123 and ACJA § 1-604 govern access to judicial records and remote court records, not ownership of this site's analytics data. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request deletion of personal data we control
- Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
- Request access to personal data held about the visitor
- Object to processing where the law supplies that choice
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as services or legal duties change. A replacement becomes effective when posted here with its updated date.
